Let’s start off today with a quote…
“One reason we struggle with insecurity: we’re comparing our behind the scenes to everyone else’s highlight reel.” —Steven Furtick
Maybe you see the social media post where your friend is enjoying a promotion celebration with her family…. the one YOU thought you would get.
Perhaps you see more “likes” when someone else posts the exact same message you just did 24 hours earlier and you wonder why more people didn’t “like” your post.
Or maybe you get a call from a parent that raved how their child is exceeding expectations at school while your child is struggling.
Comparing is no way to live. In fact, dare I say…
Comparing yourself to others is nothing but a distraction from the Enemy to keep you from enjoying your God-given breakthroughs. You can’t enjoy your own breakthroughs because they are smothered with comparison.
God has you on a particular path at a particular time, with particular responsibilities. Do YOUR job the best YOU can and you will be satisfied…
Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.
—Galatians 6:4 (NLT)
Helping you wake up with purpose as you rise and hustle.
