I just finished reading a book from my pastor, Demolishing Strongholds: Finding Victory Over the Struggles That Hold You Back.
Although it was geared toward men, the principles can be used by anyone. He talked about the importance of accountability.
He brought up this verse in his book:
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. —Ecclesiastes 4:12
What is is overpowering you?
If there is a battle between you and any of these emotions, you may be overpowered. The temptation will cause you to fall. The jealousy will drive you nuts. The envy will make you constantly compare yourself. The anger will spill over onto your family. Fear and doubt will put you on edge in a constant state of panic.
Yet when you partner up with someone, you can defend yourself from the Enemy. You strike back with the encouragement from a friend.
Now imagine if you teamed up with two or more people and walked each other through life’s battles.
Sure, you’ll bend. BUT—you won’t break.
And, that’s how you crush the Enemy with your daily #RiseandHustle…
